ChoiceOne Bank is pleased to announce the recent promotions of Assistant Vice President Skylet Cummings to Regional Executive Vice President, Veronica Bishop to Assistant Vice President, Director of Deposit Operations, and Cheryl Gregware to Assistant Vice President, Customer Service Center Manager. ChoiceOne also welcomes Kimberly M. Groves, Community Development Manager.

Skylet Cummings is promoted to Regional Executive Vice President
She is responsible for managing nine retail branches in ChoiceOne’s West Market. Cummings joined ChoiceOne Bank in 2017 as Assistant Vice President, Rockford Branch Manager. She has 25 years of banking experience and has served as Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager at several Michigan regional banks.
Cummings will graduate from the Perry School of Banking through the Michigan Bankers Association in May. She also studied at the University of Phoenix, Kaplan University and Scottsdale Community College.
Active in her community, Cummings is an Ambassador for the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and Chair of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce Networking Committee. In 2019, she received the Networker of the Year award from the Rockford Chamber of Commerce. She is also secretary of the Rockford Business Network and has 10 years of service to Junior Achievement.
Veronica Bishop is promoted to Assistant Vice President, Director of Depository Operations
Bishop joined ChoiceOne 20 years ago as a part-time cashier at the Instore branch (Family Fare Grocery Store). She was promoted to assistant branch manager at the Rockford branch and helped open that branch. In 2009, Bishop helped organize and open the Bank’s Customer Service Center where she became Assistant Vice President, Director of Customer Service; his most recent post.
Bishop earned his associate’s degree in business administration from Grand Rapids Community College. She graduated from the Perry School of Banking and received her branch manager certification, both through the Michigan Bankers Association.
Actively involved in various community organizations, Bishop volunteers for many events including the Sparta Town and Country Day Parade, Sparta Fall Hay Bay Contest and is an active member of American Legion Post 459.
Cheryl Gregware is promoted to Assistant Vice President, Customer Service Center Manager
Gregware has 21 years of banking experience, nine of them with ChoiceOne Bank. Joining ChoiceOne in 2013, Gregware started as a cashier, moved to the customer service center and rose to assistant manager. Fluent in Spanish, Gregware is a trusted advocate and advisor to all ChoiceOne customers.
Gregware received an Associate of Business from Grand Rapids Community College and is preparing to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ferris State University in Big Rapids. She also received her branch manager certification through the Michigan Bankers Association.
Kimberly M. Groves, Community Development Manager
Groves joins ChoiceOne Bank with over 30 years of banking experience. For the past 25 years, she has worked in the mortgage industry. She was most recently ARC, Mortgage Officer at Huntington National Bank in Southfield.
Groves holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix in Southfield and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Design from Wayne State University in Detroit.
Engaged in community volunteerism, Groves is a board member and treasurer of New Hope Community Development in Detroit since 2017 and serves as Board member and secretary of New Paradigm Schools in Detroit since 2019.
